Privacy Policy

Overview

Astropredict is a frontend-only mobile app. We do not operate a server, an account system, or a database that retains your personal data. Most information you provide stays on your device. Only the data necessary to generate a reading is sent to a third-party AI provider at the moment you request it.

What we collect and store on your device

The following is stored locally on your device using Capacitor Preferences. It never reaches our servers because we do not have any:

• Your name, date of birth, time of birth, and birth place (used to compute your zodiac sign and personalize readings).
• Your western and Vedic zodiac signs.
• Saved chat conversations with the AI.
• Saved reports (Kundli, compatibility, numerology, palm reading).
• App preferences (theme, language, notification settings).
• Cached daily horoscopes (up to 12 hours).

Camera and photo access (Palm Reading)

The Palm Reading feature requires access to your device camera and / or photo gallery so you can capture or select a picture of your palm.

• Camera permission is used only when you tap "Take Photo" inside the Palm Reading screen. The camera is never opened in the background.
• Photos / media permission is used only when you choose to upload an existing palm picture from your gallery.
• The captured or selected image is held in memory on your device and sent once, as part of your palm reading request, to the AI provider (see "What leaves your device" below). We do not upload it to our own servers — we do not have any.
• The image is not saved to your gallery, not stored permanently inside the app, and is discarded from memory as soon as you leave the screen or reset the reading.
• You can revoke camera or photo permission at any time from your device's Settings → Apps → Astropredict → Permissions. The Palm Reading feature will stop working until permission is granted again, but the rest of the app will continue to work.

What leaves your device

When you ask the AI a question, generate a horoscope, request a Kundli / compatibility / numerology / palm reading, the relevant prompt — and for palm reading, the palm image you provided — is sent to a third-party AI provider so it can produce a reply. The providers we use are:

• OpenRouter
• Groq
• Google Gemini

The app falls back automatically between these providers if one fails. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We do not attach a persistent user ID, email, phone number, or device identifier to those requests.

Advertising

Astropredict shows ads via Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect anonymous device-level signals (advertising ID, coarse location derived from IP, device type) to serve relevant ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. We use three ad formats:

• Banner ads — shown at the bottom of some screens.
• Interstitial ads — shown occasionally between actions, rate-limited so you don't see them too often.
• Rewarded ads — only shown when you choose to watch one in exchange for unlocking a reading.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization from your device's Google settings. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Permissions summary

• Internet — required to talk to AI providers, fetch ads, and update horoscopes.
• Camera — only for capturing a palm photo on demand.
• Photos / Media — only for selecting an existing palm photo on demand.

We do not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, calendar, SMS, call logs, or files outside of the photo you choose.

Children

Astropredict is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Please do not use the app if you are under that age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data retention and deletion

Because all your personal data lives on your device, you control it fully. You can:

• Delete any saved chat or report individually.
• Clear the horoscope cache from Settings → Storage.
• Fully reset the app from Settings → Storage → Reset App.
• Uninstall the app, which permanently removes all locally stored data.

Security

All network traffic from the app uses HTTPS. Because we do not store your data on a server, there is no central database that could be breached. Data sent to AI providers is protected in transit by their respective TLS-secured APIs.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or new third-party services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
